Valérie Bélanger
A practical, hands-on woman, Valérie approaches communications from a highly strategic angle. Her background as a paramedic, public relations officer and radio host gives her a unique perspective on every situation, as well as quick reflexes and unfailing composure. Curious by nature, she likes to join every conversation and is particularly fond of verbal communication; these qualities make her a supportive, experienced partner for spokespeople.
Valérie spent a decade working in paramedic services at the Coopérative des techniciens ambulanciers de la Montérégie (CETAM), including five years as both a public relations officer and paramedic. This assignment led her to take charge of the Cooperative's media relations and recruitment initiatives. She rose to an interim position as Communications and Human Resources Marketing Coordinator, where she rapidly developed an effective recruitment campaign that achieved its hiring targets while also raising the profile of the paramedic profession.
She also worked in radio at FM 103.3, where she reported on health matters on Charles Gaudreau’s De bonheur le matin morning show. She joined the Exponentiel team in 2023.
Valérie holds a Minor in Communications Sciences and a Certificate in Public Relations from Université de Montréal. She’s currently working towards a Certificate in Project Management at HEC Montréal.
She loves life at Exponentiel because…
I’m highly motivated by meeting new people and creating sustainable, trust-based relationships with clients.
What’s most important to her
I’m passionate about citizen involvement that helps us all live together more harmoniously. I’m involved in resident committees within my municipality, notably those working in underserved neighbourhoods. I’m also a Board member at PRAQ (Pour un réseau actif dans nos quartiers), an organization that promotes social development and citizen participation.
Her Exponentiel attitude: dynamic responsiveness
I enjoy fast-paced environments, especially when I can take quick action. In my opinion, being agile and efficient is very important in public relations.
